Weight loss Success Story!

This temstimonial is intended to give potential customers a "losers" presepecitive on the diet. I have been on reduced calorie diets in the past. Jenny Craig and Nutri-systems. I even tried my own version of the Atkins Diet.  All of them worked and actually I was able to keep the weight off for a good period of time, 4-5 years.  The reason I didn't return to those dients is while they are successful in taking the weight off, I never felt satisfied until it was over.  They were a struggle start to finish because there was never any meal I could look forward to and frankly, their meals leave much to be desired..mostly flavor and texture.  The self directed Atkins was more pleasant but because I didn't really follow the strict protocol, I never lost as much as needed and it didn't stay off long enough.  It had one distict advantage..REAL MEAT and REAL PORTIONS. I am an omnivore but definitely slanted to the carnivore side.

Ideal Protein has a successful approach besides solid science.  Give the dieters something to look forward to and good portions and they will be satisfied.  Dinner was something I looked forward to because I chose it and I cooked it they way I liked it.  I really cannot thing of a day when I was unhappy with my meals.  The foods you eat are good tasting and can be spiced up to make them even better tasting.  The protocol is easy to follow with the possible exception of finding vegetables that are not restricted and you can bear to eat 2 cups worth at a sitting. I have embraced vegetables I never thought i would, such as summer squash, bell peppers, and raw mushrooms.  I never remember them tasting so good either.

As a result, I have lost 38 pounds is 8 weeks and never felt better!

Ironically, I wasn't uncomfortably over weight.  I started the diet because I was hovering along the border of type 2 diabetes and bad high cholesterol and I definitely had a belly fat problem. But was not in the danger zone yet.  I wasn't going to let that happen since I have prided myself on being fit for most of my adult life working out between 4-6 days a week. It wasn't until I lost the weight that I returned to the healthy person I always envisioned I was.  As an added benefit, my chronic headaches have subsided.

There were challenges.  I travel frequently and entertain clients for my job.  Not drinking alcohol or having all the rich carbohydrates my clients were enjoying was trying but, after the meal, I was satisfied that I had the will to resist.  Another fringe benefit was the response of those clients as they saw the pounds virtually melt away in front of their very eyes.  to them, anyone who can stick to something so dilgently must mean they are diligent in all things..I did have a secret weapon however, that was my devoted wife of 28 years. She helped with my meals, cutting up the vegetables and sauteing them so it was easy to pack.  Rewarding me like a only a wife can...

Here are some tips for anyone who is ready to start feeling better:

drink your water early! none 4 hours before bedtime

make your meat for the week on Sunday so that meals are easy to make when you get home from a long day.

prep your veggies on Sunday so they are ready for the week.

Stevia is you friend.  Its tastes great in tea, cereals and the puddings.

Use well refrigerated water in your cereals and drinks..huge difference!

Renay's Story:

I have been overweight my entire adult life. Or as my doctor would write in my chart..morbidly obese! I would blow it off and joke that I was growing my lap to fit my growing kids.  However, when your youngest child turns 15, it just doesn't work anymore! I have tried just about every diet you can think of.  Sure, I'd lose about 20-25 pounds, hit a plateau,get frustrated or bored and quit.   Then gain all the weight back plus a bonus 5-10 pounds!

I first heard of the Ideal Protein Protocol through the success of another patient of Dr. Woods. I'm sad to say it took me a full year before I got the courage to check it out myself! finally, just plain sick of being over weight, unhealthly tired and sluggish, I called Live Well Chiropractic on March 13, 2014 and came to the Ideal Protein open house that night! Although the women that shared their success stories and tips were truly inspiring, I still had doubts in the back of my mind that it would work for me.  However, the more I listened to Dr. Wood explain the science and the research of what happens in our bodies, the fact there are no "drugs" in Ideal Protein, and there are 4 phases to the protocol, the more it made sense.

I officially started the Ideal Protein protocol the following Mondan March 17, 2014 and have lost over 100 pounds in 9 months! I have also gone from a size 24 to a size 12! Following the protocal I have consistently lost weight and/or inches every week! the first thing I noticed was more energy especially after lunch and late afternoon. (now I can keep up with my kids, grandkids, and students!) I also never felt hungry. In fact it was hard to eat all the food at first.  Ideal Protein is the perfect balance of knowing exactly what to eat but customizing to my taste.  I'm a carbaholic so I make pancakes and muffins for breakfast from my Ideal Protein packets and my chocoholic self gets a Ideal Protein candy bar every evening for doing a good job that day! for someone always on the go its amazing how well Ideal Protein fits into my busy schedule!

I will continue to follow the Ideal Protein Protocol until I reach my goal weight and get in to the acceptable BMI range. I WILL make it! I'm confidnet that I have the skills to continue on with a Healthy eating lifestyle even after I reach my goal and I'm happy to have an Ideal Protein safety net.
